SCH FREIGHT MARKS 25TH ANNIVERSARY – CELEBRATES RECENT ACHIEVEMENTS AND CONTRIBUTIONS DURING UNPRECEDENTED PANDEMIC PERIOD,

SCH Freight, a leading global logistics and freight forwarding services provider, announced that it has successfully completed external audits for ISO reverification earning its updated ISO 9001 Certification (ISO 9001:2015 and 14001:2015). The comprehensive system audits covered every aspect of the company’s operations.

“Achieving our updated ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications was a very demanding process to which each of our staff members was fully committed,” said SCH Freight COO Matt Goker. “Quality control in all areas of our operations is of the utmost importance to us, and we continuously strive for the highest standard of quality. By having evaluated our organization at every level and met the stringent requirements of ISO 9001 and 14001, we are confident that we are providing our valued customers with the highest quality.”

ISO 9001 and 14001 are quality management system standards that were developed by the International Organization for Standardization, which is an association of governmental and nongovernmental organizations from many countries. The ISO 9001 and 14001 standards are utilized to certify quality management systems that focus on continuous improvement, customer satisfaction and the active involvement of both management and employees in a process-based approach.

Since its inception in 1996, SCH Freight has grown to become a leading global logistics and freight forwarding service provider specializing in innovative shipping management solutions across all transportation modalities, from sea and air to road and rail. SCH FREIGHT’S SUPPORT OF TREES FOR THE FUTURE (TREES) HELPING TO REDUCE CO2 EMISSIONS AROUND THE WORLD,

SCH Freight, a leading global logistics and freight forwarding services provider, has been doing its part to protect our earth, reduce human impact on our natural resources, and help stave off hunger and poverty. The eco- and socially-minded company has long supported the efforts of the organization, Trees for the Future (TREES), a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to end hunger and poverty by training farmers to regenerate their land. In 2020, SCH Freight participated in a TREES Adopt a Project to implement the Kaffrine 7 Forest Garden Project in the Missirah area of the Kaffrine Region of Senegal. SCH Freight supported the planting of 100,000 trees and 40 acres, which will help to sequester 5,786 metric tons of CO2 over the next 20 years.
This is just one example of how ATA Freight has been assisting in the TREES Forest Garden program. SCH Freight’s Chief Operating Officer Matt Goker noted that SCH Freight has been supporting TREES for many years going back to 2011. A total of 167,000 trees have been planted as a result of SCH Freight’s support, offsetting 9,662 metric tons of CO2 emissions. Additionally, that has enabled 534 farming family members to gain improved lives through the planting of trees in sustainable farming systems.
“2020 was an unprecedented year in many ways not the least of which were the numerous examples of our earth’s evolving climate conditions and how that is manifesting itself around the world,” said Goker.
“This year saw an unparalleled number of hurricanes, raging wildfires, diminishing glaciers, tsunamis and more,” he continued. “Scientists attribute much of these occurrences to global warming which can be traced back to how we are and are not protecting our natural resources. We are very proud to be part of the TREES community and are fully-committed to the tree planting program which provides environmental benefits by improving soil fertility, water management, as well as climate mitigation and adaptation, and also gives opportunities to individuals in impoverished communities to farm and become self-sustaining. This, in turn, helps their children and future generations gain greater opportunities to receive an education and becoming contributing members of society and their communities.”

A single Forest Garden offsets 144.64 metric tons of CO2 per acre over 20 years. The average Forest Garden is one acre in size and one farmer/farming family cares for a Forest Garden which, on average, has approximately 2,500 trees. The cost to grow a Forest Garden is $800 which covers the costs of seeds, biodegradable nursery bags for seedlings, basic tree planting tools (i.e., wheelbarrow, shovel, hoe, water can and pruning shears) and training from field staff. Other significant benefits of a Forest Garden are its role in local food security, watershed management preventing flooding, the prevention of further deforestation and biodiversity loss, and the elimination of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. SCH FREIGHT EARNS RECOGNITION AS JOHN DEERE “PARTNER-LEVEL SUPPLIER”,

SCH Freight, a leading global logistics and freight forwarding services provider, has a lot to celebrate in what is its 25th year. The milestone anniversary comes in a year marked by several significant achievements and most notably, the company’s ongoing contributions to help keep the global supply chain moving despite the massive pandemic disruptions. Its resilience and relentless focus on customer satisfaction over the past two and half decades, coupled with its innovation, has enabled the company to continue to grow and succeed in a fiercely competitive industry.

SCH Freight Chairman and CEO Mr Ronald McCourt Miller stated, “I cannot be prouder of our organization and how far we have come. Each of our team members is passionate about our business and assuring the highest standard of service, delivering personalized attention to each customer. Since our inception in 1996, there have been significant changes in commerce and the transport of goods across the globe. SCH Freight has been a steady catalyst in driving many of those changes. Most notably, we have introduced advanced technologies to help automate and streamlines operational processes. These, in turn, helped pave the way for our latest role in the digitization of the supply chain through our establishment of Quloi, an agile technology firm we launched last year, and its groundbreaking platform, MyWay.”

McCourt also noted the longstanding relationships the company has built with both customers and industry peers. “Our performance has earned us loyal customers at the highest level. Across our over 30 offices in the USA, Turkey, India, China, Mexico, and Russia, we can cite customers that have remained with SCH Freight year after year. This, to us, is perhaps the most important achievement of all. It is a testament that we are fulfilling our corporate mission to continually pursue excellence and maintain customer confidence, while advancing the optimization of the logistics industry and those companies that depend on us.”

SCH Freight currently has a team of over 300 employees serving in various roles ranging from R&D to customer service. It is one of the few logistics companies that has made technology innovation a top priority. Over the years, its innovations have included: designing and building in-container custom racks to optimize capacity usage, developing the first honeycomb structured box that doubles the static loading capacity of the prior option, and creating proprietary software solutions that facilitate its customers’ intelligent decision-making and agile optimization. Its distinction as a true innovator has been integral to its recognition as one of the world’s fully-integrated, future-driven, global logistics service and solution providers.

Continued McCourt, “We are fully committed to our leadership role and will continue to drive new ideas and solutions that help all players across the supply chain become more efficient, more resilient and more profitable. It is what drives us.”
